My Week in Pictures #2

(I've tried a new layout for my "my week in pictures" post this week, I'm not sure I'll stick with it though.)

1.Playing outside in the garden with my nieces (although they refused a picture) this week when the weather was nice.
2.So much revision!!!!!!!
3.I have slightly rekindled my love for rings this week. The past few months I haven't really wore any but in the picture above I am wearing a 3D horse one and a gold heart one both from Internacionale.
4. My converse are another fashion item that I've loved this week. My low top red converse haven't left my feet all week.
5. I have been through 5 bottles of this since last Saturday, anyone else think I have a bit of a ginger ale addiction? Also, people find it really weird that I don't use it as a mixer I just drink it alone.
6. Tonight all I've been doing is burning my fave candles and watching TV, having a lazy Sunday! (Candles pictured: Bloomes "Vanilla Surprise" and the one in the white floral jar is from BHS but I'm not sure of the name because it was a present.)

Hope you all had a great week, whatever you got up to.

What's on my face?

HAPPY SUNDAY!
I haven't written in quite some time, there has been some issues in my personal life but not to worry I am back with a "what's on my face?" post. Today I felt a bit lazy and that is reflect in the I-couldn't-be-bothered-ness of this look. So here it is:

For this "face" I started with the MUA primer, this is a water based primer and it's nothing special really. I moved onto foundation next and I mixed W7 photoshoot foundation with my MAC studio fix fluid and I buffed that in with my Real Techniques expert face brush. For concealer I went with a beauty cult product which is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. To make sure my face doesn't blind anyone with shiny-ness I used Collection pressed powder which smells incredible and does a great job. For blush I used my Sugarbomb blush from Benefit "in my Sugarlicious kit". For highlight I used an oldie but goodie High Beam which(after inspiration from Vivianna does makeup) I blended with my ring finger instead of a brush and I love the effect it gives. On my eyes I have "Foxy" from the Naked 2 palette just to make the lid an even colour. For filling in my brows I used "Tease" from Naked 2 also. I lined my eyes with "Blackout" AGAIN from Naked 2 which I blended out for a slightly smokey effect but I thought liquid eyeliner would be too harsh since I was going for a no-fuss look. For mascara I chose one of my all time faves with Maybelline Pulse Perfection. Finally, because of my neutral eyes I went a bit more bold with a pink lip colour. I used my Revlon Colourstay Liquid Lipstick in Premium Pink.

And that's it-my guide to a simple sunday look.

dublin day out! (vlog)

I went to Dublin yesterday (Saturday 27th April) for the IYMAs (Irish Youth Music Awards) and it was fab and I vlogged so here it is all edited and lovely for you guys x

p.s If this video is bad quality I may just upload it from Youtube instead.

I'm an awful vlogger!

I attempted to make some interesting vlogs for you guys this week but on Friday I was super busy with "Gig Night" so even though I was planning to vlog I couldn't (cry) but I thought I'd redeem it by making a cool vlog for Saturday.
"Where is that cool vlog?" you might ask. Well, basically I am an idiot and an amateur and I left my camera at home.

Today I:

  • Went to my dance/drama classes
  • Got my second piercing in my left ear (ouch!)
  • Walked practically all over the city centre to find somewhere that my friend Shauna could get an industrial bar piercing but sadly no luck for her.
  • Ate subway
  • Went home and chatted to my sister about childhood memories with her (super nostalgic)
  • Socialized with my cousin Chloe
  • Watched youtube videos
  • Wrote this post

So as you can see the start of my day would have made a great vlog, that is if I had remembered something to film it on but I solemnly promise now that next weekend I will make super interesting vlogs because on Friday I am going to a play that my friends are in called "West Side Story" then on Saturday I am taking a trip to Dublin for the final of the Irish Youth Music Awards and on Sunday I am volunteering at a show doing some Front of House/usher type things i.e greeting the audience, tearing tickets at the door etc.

My lack of post ideas is so upsetting too, I'm so unimaginative so if you have any suggestions give me them:)

MY WEEK

(I didn't like the idea of "my week in pictures" this week because I haven't taken many photos but I will be sure to for ext week's summary post)
THIS WEEK:

product of the week: Topshop lipstick in "Infared"

read of the week: (still reading) The Hunger Games-Mockingjay

song of the week: I have rediscovered my love for All Time Low this week so I have been non stop listening to "Weightless"

food of the week: the McDonalds I had on Thursday and I must say, even though they got my order wrong (I asked for a Mc'Chicken Sandwhich but I got a Chicken Royale I think) what I did get was delicious.

video of the week: has to be one that went up today which was zoe and joey's video (both of them) they were so hilarious.

****I also went to see Olly Murs on Thursday in Belfast which was incredible but I'd never expect any less from Olly. I've seen him in every live show he has done in Belfast (i.e XF tour, all 3 tours) and they were all just as good, so an overall great night except the fact I think I may have lost my Revlon lip butter in Tutti Frutti whilst there :(

Olly Murs stalking

Don't suppose anyone would like to see my little vlog(featuring Amy and Rebecca) I made today whilst waiting to meet Olly Murs in town? If you would like to watch it well, here it is...

I'm also going to meet him tomorrow where I'll probably make another one! I really enjoyed filming and editing it

One Direction concert

I went to the One Direction concert on the 11th of March and here are some of my photos and my mini review of the show.

I thought the set list was so well put together as it was such a lovely mix of fast songs then after a few upbeat songs there would be a ballad. I loved when they flew over the crowd also because it gave everyone a chance to have a close view of the boys as they sang and it proved to be a great crowd pleaser.

The only negative thing I have to say is I had to wait WAY TOO LONG for "She's not afraid" which is by far my favourite song off the new album plus Niall didn't do his laugh after the bridge which was saddening.

Ok stop rambling Rachel and just insert photos...

I've caved!

I've caved in and got myself a "Naked 2" palette on the plane home from Italy (did you know there's a such thing as "sky shopping"?) which was convenient. I must admit though that I've used it everyday since I got it and it is rapidly becoming a holy grail product for me.

My 3 most worn shade are "foxy", "booty call" and "snake bite". I use them for the perfect everyday subtle smokey eye which is my favourite look.

Also, I got a free mini "lip junkie" with it which I also love. It is a lip plumper so it gives that tingly feeling that some people don't like, but I do. I may even have to buy the full sized one.

Overall I'm so happy I purchased it because I know I'll get so much use from it and now when bloggers/youtubers use it in tutorials etc I'll be able to participate instead of using the dupes.

Hi, I'm new

I'm new to blogging, in fact this is my first post. I watch a lot of youtubers though and almost all of them have blogs so I decided to make one and find out what I was missing.
Most of my posts from here on are probably going to be beauty and fashion related so if you're interested in that field then be sure to check out my blog.
